Squeeking wheel from front driver's side wheel...
It's an '02 S8 and I'm guessing it's probably the wheel bearing, but just to double check I'm asking here. It doesn't squeek on startup for the first few minutes, but after that it sounds like it squeeks once with every rotation of the wheel. However it seems like the squeeking stops when i hit the brakes, which is why I'm double checking and asking here. Can anyone shed light on what it may be? Thanks all.

hmm...thanks, I'll look into that. To be perfectly honest, I haven't done much in the way of
hands-and-knees inspection quite yet, just going off my ear diagnosis. But thanks for the suggestion.

Years ago I pitched that brake shielding, front and rear.
All they seemed to do was occasionally catch a stone between and rotor and shield, resulting in an assortment of squeaking-grinding-rubbing noises.
