Default Strange new device

Hey guys

Does anyone know what this part does?

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/88480/24-04-06_1818.jpg">

This is one of the parts that came along with the sport antenna i picked up from a wrecked A8.

Hers whats written on it

Antennenweiche
400 - 1000MHz
0.145-108Mhz
4A9 035 585

AND IT HAS THE FOLLOWING CONNECTIONS

Antenna - connected
Radio am/fm - connected
FUNK -????? (problem)
12V - dont have the square plug ? (problem)

Ive currently connected it to the antenna. Is it some kind of an antenna booster for the radio and GSM?

Notice the two frequency ranges. Was 400-1000 MHz intended for mobile phones?

Default It is obviously a Funk routing device. Perhaps it fell off the Mothership.

That splits the cell phone signal from the am/fm signal for the combination antenna. You have a single feed from the antenna pushing out to the crappy analog cell and the stereo. I believe it also boosts the signal gain. I had one of these in my car before I replaced the antenna.

I unfortunately dont have the 12V plug to power the device. I also noticed a lot of interferance with the radio as i drove through certain areas... this never happened with the old antenna.

Bu the coverage seems to be getting worse than I used to recieve with my old ariel. How do you propose i power it without the 12V plug so it only starts up when the radio is turned on.
