Well its been raining here in south side VA for days now and I am getting some water falling on the front seat of my 1998 A8. It is coming through the headliner near the passengers side sun shade right near the corner of the windshield.

The windshield was replaced about 4 years ago. I know that the A8 has had issues with the sunroof drains so that was my first thought but as I read up on it most report leakage from other areas not this area.

Looking at the pic below of the sunroof drains does it make sense that these drains would leak at the corner of the windshield when parked on a flat surface? What is the best way to test the drain besides pouring water down those drains? Also I have read that using compressed air is not recommended to fix this issue. Is something like weed eater cord threaded down the drain tubes from each end the best method? Thanks in advance.

Just to follow up I just checked the pillars and they are bone dry. Everything I read is if it is the sunroof drains the pillars will be wet and stained. This is not the case here. The drip seems to be in that one spot only and drops straight down so can I rule out the sunroof drains?
