I've heard that the A8/S8 exhaust is very heavy, and that the Superspring exhaust weighs considerably less. Do you happen to have any data on this?

I've been investigating the REMUS exhaust for my '01 A8L based on listening to the difference a REMUS exhaust made on my father-in-law's BMW. Not sure of the weight differential between it and the stock. The REMUS has a mellow note at idle and not too loud as he pulls away in the quiet neighborhood...AutobahnX has them around the same price as the SuperSprints. Anyone compare the two?

I had the super sprint on my S8, It's boomy and resonates at low RPM and at crusining speed. At high RPM these is almost no sound at all. As I see it all you gain is noise and a lighter wallet.

I almost purchsed a supersprint system for my A8 last week but bottled out, I was trying to justify spending a lot of money on a full system, when the old one is in perfect working order.

$595 seems cheap for a full system, or is this just for a rear box? Supersprint also have cat replacement pipes in development by the way!

I am waiting to hear bhp figures back from supersprint as they rolling road all vehicles that they produce exhusts during development so they can give accurte power gain figures.

I had an LL Tek sport muffler and it was nicely constructed but had a bad low speed resonance and nominal(if any) performance improvement. I would stay with the stock system and get the nice chrome exhaust tips from Clair's. Regards, Pat
