is the symphony II faceplate the same as the symphony I face plate?

is the symphony II faceplate the same as the symphony I face plate?

If not my rns-e is useless if I decide to get an o2 or 03.

Thanks PaulW. By any chance do you know where the gala/v-signal is in a 02/03?

I figure it'll be behind the instrument cluster, have yet to take out the radio and look.

I am seriously considering a 02 or 03 and am tying to figure out what to do with my rns...

A few threads back i asked about insurance settlement b/c as pkrausky put it my "car was f'd by bambi." I have to admit, that is a funny way of putting it. After a bit of searching it looks like symphony II install requires tapping into gala/v-signal from behind the dash. I was wondering which connector it would be in and what color wire it is; I am assuming that the a6 wiring is different form the d2 behind the dash.

You mean the CAN bus wiring?

The CAN bus wiring is all at the radio on an 02 and 03, no mods required, just a plug and play wire connection.
