Talk about lesson learned
Thought I'd share my rather miserable day /experience with you guys. I've been on the hunt for new shoes for the S8 lately. Have it narrowed down to the D3 19" Fanblades Or the 18" Harrtman DTM's.
Lucky me finds a set of "OEM" 19" Fanblades on the AW Classifieds. Poster sends pictures and explains these barely used fanblades came on his A8L and he just switched on some 20's. Seller confirms these are the OEM 19X8.5 off his A8L in fantastic shape.
Price is agreed upon, and due to a "$200+" shipping quote, and the "many people in line" I set out on a 450 mile journey to pick up said wheels. 7 Hours later I arrive to find some cheap multi-bolt pattern 19X8 ET35 reps. When explained that these are not the OEM wheels. I got a nice "**** sorry bout that" and was sent on my way.
He supposedly has many people "lined up" to buy these. I only hope he called and explained the truth the next in line, and nobody else suffers the same fate. At least he has edited the ad to say "he just found out they are not oem"
I hope nobody else on here gets stung on these.

What a joke...
I could tell a set of OEM wheels from knock-offs in a heartbeat (and I'm far from wheel savvy). This guy can't be serious that he DIDN'T know they were some cheap pieces of crap. Tell him to pay you to take them off his hands - you'd be doing him a favor.
