Default For those that have a solar sunroof...

I don't really expect thrusting blasts of arctic air, but the paltry wisps of fairy breath coming out of my vents would fail to impress even the most deperate of russian submariners. Am I missing something ? Is everyone else relaxing in polar freshness while I can hear my own **** fat sizzling ?

Default All it does is slowly circulate the air.

Mine doesn't provide any real cooling benefit unless the outside temp is 80 or below and the sunroof is cracked open at the back.

Default I am happy with mine on my 98..

I think it makes a difference and it comes out in a steady, but weak stream. I find it much more effective if the AC was recently on. I would gladly give it up to be able to use my V1! Damn solar windshield!

Default When I was shopping I thought it was a cool feature, BUT...

now that I own one, I actually think it's more of a negative. I'd prefer to be able to see through the roof. And, I'm fairly certain that they lead to premature blower motor failure as well. On the other hand, I do like the rest of the "hot" package, especially the power sunshade.

Default Having the Hot package with the solar sunroof makes a difference

If I park them both outside on sunny days the amethyst gray with the solar sunroof, (part of hot package), stays alot cooler than the silver without the hot package.

Default Pop the sunroof.

That, plus the solar roof air motion, is not insignificant.

I'd never get another car with that feature. I miss the overhead light too much.

Default Cool pic, look how high the one on the right sits compared the one on the left

My car was parked next to a 01 S8 last weekend at the hotel for the track event. You could really see the differences in the front end from a pre facelift to a post facelift car.

The pre facelift hood rakes down, the post facelift is high, the pre grill is small and angled, the post is high and vertical.

I should of taken a picture.
