The last time I had use of VAG-COM, I mistakenly coded my 00002 to a 00012. The car didn't drive any better -- obviously. Anyway... This weekend, I should get a chance to recode it to the proper 00011. I will also be driving it about 150 miles over the weekend.

How long before the 00011 coding takes full effect? I realize it is supposed to ignore the DSP, but the 00012 didn't seem to do that.

Also, is there any way to "reset" the driving history so that the car relearns the way I drive?

Note: I've already looked at AudiPages and it didn't address the above.

recoding also resets the "learning" functions of the ECU and TCU. I personally have settled on 00001 as the best for me and my car.
