Default Under headlight trim

Can someone verify a part number for me, for the chrome piece that sits under the headlights? I took my car to the (non-stealer) body shop for an estimate to fix the damage caused by the ba$tard who hit me without leaving a note, and found that the chrome molding piece is to cost me $221???

The part number he quotes is 4D0 807 243 A 2ZZ - and I have searched a bit and come up with nothing on this particular piece.

Any help on the part number verification AND a cheaper source for the molding would be greatly appreciated ... as always, thanks much for any advice!

Default I searched Riverside Audi's website and came up with

Molding - $20.74. I used 4D0 807 243 A as the part number though. I wonder if the 2ZZ is for the paint/chrome?

You can use the partslist PaulW put up on audipages.com as a reference as well.

{Edit} It would help if I included the website for Riverside Audi, huh? BTW, the price I posted is with a wholesale account. The price without is $24.48. Still pretty good. Just talk to Carson Heter and he'll hook you up.

Most good body shops have a salvage yard connection, and will offer you a used part if available.
