Hey guys,
I was wondering if I could get some input from you on this stuff. I'm trying to solve some electrical issues and was wondering if you guys have ever run into the same thing? Thanks in advance!

Comment: I reset my fault codes and Im waiting to see if these come back. This was after the car was on a slight incline all day (nose up). The sensors though may be related to my transmission hunting. I'm changing out my TPS tonight.

1 Fault Found:
00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Front Right (G45)

Comment: I went through Pauls posted procedure on fixing the ABS wire, it was definitely shorting just before rubber wore mount. Since Ive done this though its totally gone. Am I supposed to reset something? Has anyone here had to outright replace the wire?

Default Just clear the 00285 now that you've fixed the ABS wire. You're correct on the 17087, nothing to

worry about there.

Agree on the "clear and look for recurrance" on that first batch.

Not sure what to suggest on the darn door lock/memory thing. Sounds like water got somewhere it isn't supposed to be.

Default Re: VAG-COM Trouble Codes

You may wish to consider pulling up the passenger side carpet and floor board along with the foot well covers over the fuse panel and relay box located in that area. There are many electrical connections that may have been exposed to moisture in this problem area.

Give everything a chance to dry out. fresh air and sunshine are the best, but I'm sure you can think of something. I have adopted a habit of always operating the passenger side heater blower to output into the foot well. just a press of the down arrow on the HVAC controller does the trick.

Might be nothing of the sort, just an idea related to washing and water etc.

Second, check for moisture in your ECU box.

Default Intermittent faults are nothing but irritation-clear and see if they become persistant

I replaced a wire on a wheel speed sensor and have had no issues since.Yes clear codes always after any repair then recheck.
Also a basic settings can help to show whats real and what is perceived as a problem.
The heater vent suggests rear motor problem. If you have no manual email me for sheets on those faults.
The lock you need to remove door panels and dry out-often water can short building up oxidiseation causing ongoing issues. suggest an air gun but avoid the alarm puddle lamp switch-use a hair dryer on this area.
The lock is probably the alarm problem as well.
Trans is as you thought.
good advice above re water in ECU and relay areas.
Check your drains inside3 and out.
