So as Tozo was test driving my new found reversable transmission he found I had some bent wheels. I have one of them out now getting straightened. I'm assuming since they will be using heat I will have to refinish them. Are these things powder coated or is it paint? Is it just a plain silver?

If its done right then it shouldn't need refinishing. When I had my 300ZX's BBS rim repaired they just placed it in a furnace which heated the whole thing up, without burning it...but again that rim was soft to begin with, so I don't know if this will be the case with your rim.

I just got the wheel back and they didn't get into the face. But it does have some scratches from sitting in the spare tire well. So now I just want to clean it up. I may just sand it and spray it with some argent silver.

The A8 17 wheels are forged and anodized. Not sure your S8, but I would venture same.
