Default Wheels wheels wheels........

Ever since we first bought the S8, I instantly wanted the ORIGINAL Speedline S8 wheels that came on Euro, pre-facelift cars. They just look "right" on the car. The rounded spokes and domed center cap look so good with the rounded curvy body lines of the D2. However, the $380/ea kind of swayed me away (and that's a GOOD price from a dealer that offers a good discount). So, I moved in the direction of the 19" Hartmann wheels that I currently have because they do look very good and they were a little more reasonable in the $$$ dept.

Here's the "problem": a set of Speedline S8 wheels popped up for sale locally and I HAD to buy them! :-) I couldn't let them slip away for the money the guy was asking and the fact that they were local. Now I am wondering if I really want to switch away from the 19's. That 19" wheel looks REALLY good on the big car and I still get away with a pretty good amount of sidewall.

I run 17's in the winter and I'd hate to use the Euro wheels for winter wheels anyway. What does one do in this "predicament"?

Super sexy Euro-only Speedline S8 wheels:

Current 19" Hartmann "DTM" wheels

less-than-sexy (IMHO) Ronal made USA-spec S8 wheels:

I like the DTM's (even more so on my Avant). Are the Speedlines 17"?

The Hartmans look more aggressive. Keep 'em and send me your 18s.

Default Tough choice

I keep looking at 19's, but then realize I have no money to spend on wheels and tires!

I would keep them both!

Default Yeah, that's the other problem with 19s....

....tires are pretty spendy. Seems odd to me that 20" tires are actually fairly reasonable, but most of the 19s are pretty spendy.

....and that's a point in favor of going back to 18s.
