It doesn't show dirt and water stains as quickly as black does, even though it looks black. In this pict, I'm in the middle and the car behind me is black while the one in front is ming blue; they all three look the same under most lighting conditions. Also, on topic, the other two S8s have much darker tint, 20% IIRC.

If you have navigation, certain tints can disrupt it. For instance, on my previous A8 I used a tint that had some AL in it, but that was a pre-facelift car w/o nav. Couldn't do that with the S8.

Also, as a warning, if it's raining when they do the job, make sure the car sits for a couple hours for the glass to cool down. The first tint shop that did my A8 didn't do that; I had a nice crack running through my back glass a few hours after picking the car up.

I'd normally have gone 35% sides and 20% rear but this came on my car:

It does afford me the privacy tho to pick me nose whilst motoring.

I did get bagged for it once, 1mi. from my house in the pouring rain (looks darker on overcast days). I small talked the pig for quite some time ensuring he DID get quite the soaking - muwha!

CT allows to take a pic and mail it in NG and it's dropped - hello PHOTOSHOP!!! 8-)

My UrS6 tint ran me ~ $140 IIRC, of course that was like 5yrs. ago. Still, $350 is absurd.
