Default Just found RossD's thread.

And the resultant Audipages procedure.

Still interested in others' comments.

Ross' install

Default

Is there only one? I would keep it/them up near the headlights. That is where they aim.

Default I think they aim at the license plate. Here's where I put mine:

Center unit is radar, the others are the laser jammers. They look pretty obvious in this picture, but when you're 10' away, they blend right into the blackness of the lower grill. And golly is it fun to drive past a constable staring at his laser gun and scratching his head...

Default I believe Dan is correct; mine are pretty much where yours are.

Most people get by with one transponder, but for a car as big as ours, I'd recommend two.

Default My cousin and uncle are cops. I am also friends with 3 others. They aim at the lights mostly .....

... because they are generally cleaner ( you need to see ).

Also many people do not bother with front plates around here.

Default So do others think we really need to spend the extras $$$ for the second transponder?

Ross, is that based on something you've read out there?

Default It was a recommendation from Lidatek. I know, not an unbiased source, but . . .

I'm pretty sure most SUVs would need two because of the large frontal area.

Default Heck.

That adds another $200 to the budget.

Oh, well.
