Ordered vcds although I intended believing the VCP is fine but reject coding due to some unknown reason.

Very likely the loom to the Abs module still has some issue preventing the steering angle sensor reading.

Vcp can read but the reading of angle is 0 and not changing with turning of wheel. I guess this is a perquisite of abs coding. Also not following why abs lost its code to 0?

Made a small progress for audi kind.

What is new today is a cracked VCP version, not knowing why allow me to enter the security access/coding ii.
With a few guess work and mistakes. It finally accepts and memberise the new coding.
Drove it about 100 meters and lights went away.

There are something not not very well documented from VCP. It seems not memorized even coding was done.

However, it is still carrying a code. Even the light on dash was gone but still has this code. Not sure whether this code relates to any light on dash.

There is a problem on abs module for sure although the light on dash no longer off anymore.

In vpc abs module output test. It would turn on the motor of abs but failed. There was no noise from the motor. After this, abs no longer in the list of communication with a lot other faults from other systems. Had to cycle the power to resume the communiicatiin then clear all codes.

Here is how the epb work.

It basically is a bolt with sliding head inside the piston. CW will tighten the bolt and pull the head back. CCW will lost the bolt and the head will extend and subsequently engage the parking brake.

Since the head is sliding, it can only back itself instead of piston. So same as traditional way, the piston has to be compressed by other mean. Also, there is a kink on the shaft, so once it completed tightened ( retracted), further tighten will cause piston to rotate.

The diagnostic still says pad not good and epb malfunction but dash is clean. What I can say, finicky?
