The trade-in was for $1300 on a used car for which we already negotiated a really good price. So, I was happy ... at least happier that having to find a buyer on my own.

Sounds reasonable, ditch the old spacecraft and move on to new w/warranty. I did same in 2012 for my wife, traded her Rangie+ her GTI for the Focus. Drive in, drive out

That's not my car, sorry. Mine is/was champagne. I believe it ended up in Tyler.
