So here’s what happens in my wife’s 2006 A8; turn on the lights and the taillights come on, put it in drive and the left one goes out, put it back in park and that taillight comes on. She’s getting tickets. Doe anyone have any idea what in the world could cause this?

Does it do this in manual light function?
Does it do the same in the auto light function?

Scan it with VCDS. I am seeing codes in mine for example that there is an internal issue in one of the taillights. Still working though. Delamination of lens is common as these age, which then can let water in.

I have delamination on the driver inner light and am afraid it soon will die. Has anyone ever developed a method to reseal them and also get rid of the hairline stress fractures? I have looked the internet up and down, with no success in finding someone repairing the stress fractures.
