2007 A8L Vehicle Key stuck
Good morning Audi Fam,
My key is stuck in the ignition and the battery is dead. Does anyone know if there is a way that I can actually drop the seats and enter the truck from inside the car or are there any nifty tricks out there to get my key out the ignition. Please assist!

Unless you have a fridge in there, you should be able to reach the release handle in the trunk with a stick or something. Even if you have the ski sack, you should be able to remove it.
However! There's a tiny hole on the ignition switch which is a release for the key so try that first. Get a tiny screwdriver or paperclip and push it in, the key should now rotate and come out.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Everybody should practice the emergency procedures on this car under ideal conditions.
1. Releasing the shift lever when the car will not recognize the ignition key fob.
2. Removing the ignition key when battery is dead (Disconnect battery to simulate).
3. Close sunroof when sunroof motor fails.
4. Hood release cable snaps off somewhere.

get a jumper box or jumper cables and connect Positive to a smaller phillips screwdriver and negative on other scredriver and touch your cigarette lighter output. It worked for me. Ignition came on and key came out.
Cheers!!!!

I'll post this again in case anyone can't remove their key for whatever reason :
Jumping the battery
Very easy to do from inside the car. Under front passenger side kick panel is a positive power terminal. Pop up plastic trim to get access to remove kick panel, remove the metal bracket with a few 10mm nuts and under there is the terminal. Attach a positive power source, find a ground on the body, and presto you have power! Open the trunk, jump the battery and you're in business.
