A8 heated/paddle steering wheel swap
#11
Just wanted to follow up on this. Added a heated paddle shift wheel to my 06 A8L a long time ago and successfully programmed the paddles with VAG COM but could not get the programming accepted for both the paddles and the hearing option. Did anyone else successfully add a heated wheel and get it to work?
but at a pretty high cost i might add. key is clockspring.
please see my post here for a bit more detail:

ps if any one wants to buy my oem non heat paddle sport wheel WITH
airbag (unmolested), modules and clockspring, please PM me!

cant speak for anyone else here, but my heated wheel
has a button on the back of the lower left spoke.
it toggles the heat on and off, and i think it defaults
to off when ambient temp is at certain level.
this was also the case on my previous 2006 A8.
perhaps this is a change post facelift for 06 on?

you will need ecn module(p/n must end in 'b'), clockspring( p/n also must end in 'b') see 8 and 9 in the link..

your cost will likely range from 1000-1500 depending on sources.
i got my wheel off ebay out of europe and the module also. the clockspring and airbag (which must be the matching shape for wheel) i had to go for new parts.
good luck!
