ABS wheel sensor problem

ABS wheel sensor problem
Right front wheel sensor is showing bad signal in VagCom. Replaced sensor still bad. Replaced part of wire I thought was bad, same thing. HELP Where does the wheel sensor wires go? Where is module? Need to check connections.

Maybe...
Maybe on the side of the ABS unit itself? Like, where that black box looking side of it is, with the big wiring harness clamp right there? That was the set up on my 2000 C5 A6 4.2, when I had to pul the module due to a fault to get redone.
You can try the easy one first of simply undoing the big connector, maybe spraying it with contact cleaner, reconnecting and seeing if error clears. Failing that, check the Bentley wiring diagrams (for the manual maybe you don't yet own given the question?) and find the pin out from the connector to the sensor for continuity. If bad or sporadic, harness of course. If good, ABS control unit.

Where is the box? I don't get this. If "Maybe on the side of the ABS unit itself? Like, where that black box looking side of it is, with the big wiring harness clamp right there?" wasn't clear enough, the question marks in my prior quoted reply were indeed flagging something...
Per the sticky, I would get a manual if either you aren't finding it or don't follow the description. Maybe just pop the hood again?; I do that myself on more than a few posts, including the hood latch one the other day to look at the cable myself again. And, mine's a 6.0 so an ABS pic wouldn't be the same location anyway. Or, if not in your bailiwick, that's fine of course, but then find a decent indy you can trust who knows post millennium Audi's.
