After a month or so of owning my S8 I have just now noticed a pretty cool feature.

It's like the adaptive cruise control, if you get used to it, it ruins every other car. Like my wife's Q7, which I routinely half-close the door on, and then on the highway wonder why I'm careening at top speed towards a car going slow in the passing lane.

Pretty much sums up the A8s in general. When my wife has to drive the highlander we call it "Audi Appreciation Day".
Took a MONTH to notice?! Sounds like somebody had better cut back on the premium tequila! 
(Seriously, what's the story on your username; if you work for them can you send me a case for promotional purposes?
Do all S8s have soft close doors?
I'd like to have them but I'm pretty sure my neighbor would miss my regular returnings home at 0300-0400. I almost always have to carry in items from the back seat and the reassuring "Thunk...thunk" signifying that I'm home safe & sound must be comforting to her.

Love this statement and may use it on my wife. She drives an older Volvo XC90 and between the rattles and cracking leather...she is so envious. I hesitate however to get her an A8 as i cannot imagine working on two if them!
