car no longer responds to key remote...
I changed the key battery, and the indicator light flashes when I press a button like it should, but now the car does not respond to lock/unlock/or trunk operation with the remote. The car will start and run, so it recognises the key. My car is not equipped with keyless entry.
Could not find a re-sync procedure in the owner's manual. Anyone seen this problem ? Any ideas ?

I just flashed my S6. All is good except the feature that allows everything to close and lock using the remote. I asked the dealer and they want to do a scan which I am not in favor of at this point. Don't know why it does not work anymore should be a quick fix.

Good read. Every once in a while I too get the key not identified light. Usually on start up. Fresh battery in the fob, and the door sensors detect it, wierd that I knows I unlocked the door, am in the vehicle, but then says no key. It's these little things that get me fired up. I think every car I have ever had comes with a love/hate attitude.
On a side note, if the key fob becomes un-identified during driving, would this cause the immobilizer to disable the vehicle?
