Default Audi A8 battery charger

Hello Guys,

I've just ordered to my Audi A8 W12 this battery charger.

[URL="http://www.ctek.com/EN-GB/consumer/mxs-4003.aspx"]http://www.ctek.com/EN-GB/consumer/mxs-4003.aspx[/UR$L]

What is your advice to connect and plug into the car? I should plug into the trunk way to the Battery? And how I can close the trunk with the cable out? I need everybody advice.

BR,

Alex

If you were to go through a door (route cable through access panel in rear seat-unless you have the fridge option) do you mind keeping a door unlocked or do you want to route through an open window or sunroof?

It would be the best, that plug it onto the battery directly, and out the cable from the trunk.. but I dont know it has enough place to get out the cable? or you can push the button, and closing the trunk 90-95%?

Any advice would help...

Alex

I can't help you as I don't have the motorized closing trunk. I have a very early '04 model built in March, 2003. I just pull the lid down.

I use my Porsche float charger and plug it into the cigarette lighter plug in the front when I'm away for a long time. The cable is skinny enough that the door closes without an issue.

Harbor Freight has a float charger that's about $14.00 and sometimes on sale for $8.00

I have one myself but never used it on my A8, It would easily work and the low voltage cord could easily be laid across the trunk lid seal.
