AUDI vs LEXUS

Well I said it a year ago, and after reading transcripts of the Lexus Dealership Assocation meeting in 2004 it was confirmed. While Lexus makes it appear that they are gunning for MB in terms of status, they have figured out something we know, and many industry experts are blind to (rather humorous when magazine writers compare the A8 against the likes of Acura and Toyota Avalon)....Lexus has realised that Audi is the car to beat in essence.
During the meeting with dealers, much consideration was given to Audi's design, and the fall of BMW (design wise) and even greater consideration to developing an All Wheel Drive system to compete with Audi. Hence every sedan will have an AWD option (even standard on some models) by 2007.
Now if only Audi could emulate the Lexus reliablitiy factor.....

Toyota is a world class competitor; Audi vs. Lexus.
I see the resemblance to the A8 you're suggesting of the neu Lexus flagship model. Toyota's Lexus brand is a fierce competitor and if by only gauging their USA market performance of the last decade. Don't get me wrong fellow A8 forum reader's, my colors are Audi all the way...e.g.,(2)~ 04A8, 96S6t Avant and a 00S4.

It does look like a Phaeton. Must have huge wheels - or the car is of more modest size.
