What could cause that condition ? I had no AFS features working in this headlight because much of the insulation was gone and wires were touching. I fixed the wiring mess and got side-to-side motion and side illuminating turning lights working again and no warning light for 'range'. It never occurred to me to check high beams either before I removed the lights to polish and rewire, or after when I checked those other functions. So the highbeam could have been out for sometime; just not the easy to tell if youre not looking for it. And thats a bummer because I could maybe have fixed the high beam too if I knew what was wrong.

Bumper was back on before I made the discovery, so repair will have to wait till I feel like doing another bumper R&R but I need to know what the fix is...
