Default What is this button???

I just got the car and the button cover for this button was missing. And when i press it, nothing happens. So i dont know what it is...logic tells me it should be the trunk...

See picture from another audi. picture quality suck i cant zoom in to see in clearly

Yea thought so. its suppose to open by holding the button for a second right??

This button doesnt work for me. I press it or hold it and nothing happens... Any ideas how to fix this??

Default It's instantaneous... as soon as it makes contact the trunk clicks and opens

If you have to wait, it's not there. I hate electrical stuff failures, if your remote key can open the trunk, then it must be the wiring or the switch itself is bad.

With switches, I remove them or at least, get to the back of the switch, use a dvm to check if the switch works by pushing the button while measuring the input/output pins.

yea they trunk opens with the key. I wanted to get input here before possibly doing/buying something that is going to be worthless.

I found a used switch on ebay for $20 going to buy that. not bad considering new ones are $50.

$50 for a small switch...i dont remember my a6 parts being so expensive
