Does that just mean a compnent has been replaced and Audi need to accept it in to the car and nobody else can do it? Other than the keyless entry, everything on the car works as expected including hte amp and all sound and MMi so isn't causing me a problem.
There is also this error;

So I'm guessing they both point at a replacement amp that is coded correctly for my car but can't be cahnged or modified because of the component protection but hoping OK to just leave alone?

2) Are you saying you've replaced the Bose amp or that someone else has? Won't work without Audi or authorised dealer clearing the CP.

or am I miss. G some features.First thing I did was clear all faults individually from the modules, there was about 10 years worth. These ones I've posted are what's left after my first fixes still left this lot.
Not that much left to do now other than there seems to be an oil leak bottom right, maybe oil pan gasket looking at it this morning, but no drop in level, and it just smears along the undwrtray, doesn't drop.and random clear water pours out at times, like wheen I was under it today working and soaked me, but it isn't coolant, no mistaking that taste, and the same with washer fluid, must be trapped somewhere or a drain has cleared as it was tasteless.

CP messages that I've seen are normally either 2095 codes, which all seem to be related to temporary bus / connection issues or 2084 codes where the following line is almost 'empty'.
I thought all 2084 codes were 'permanent' and they typically cause the Bose to play left side only. You don't seem to suffer that and your 2084 code has a line below that refers to incorrect settings!
I think it's possible you have an error in the Control Head [aka Interfacebox], possibly in the Gateway List. Have you checked the Gateway List with VCDS and checked that the 'tick marks' correspond to the ECUs you have in the car? [That shouild be easy to check as your VCDS listing will show all the ECUs it can find].
Julian
BTW; note too that this is predominantly a US/Canada forum but you're clearly in Europe/UK [as I am], as you have a Euro MMI version and the Euro version of the Bose Amp. It's always useful to readers to indicate where you're from and what specific car you have [they don't have many A8 diesels out there
].

I assume you have a VCDS; I'd have a quick look at the Gateway list to see that all is well.
The task is simple;
- use VCDS to open Module 19 - Can Gateway
- Click 'Installation List' [see attached Screenshot]
- Check that all the boxes are ticked for the devices in your car, particularly the Bose Amp.
- If you modify any ticks, click Save
- Exit VCDS cleanly
- Restart MMI using three button push
