Dropping out my 4.2 in my A8L '06
Hi all I hope this post goes up and that I'm typing in the right space. Here we go.
So I bought an A8L '06 S-LINE on line in Santiago California. The car looked awesome the dealer swore everything worked and ofcourse the engine "Didn't have the mileage it shows ". Being that it was towed behind an RV. The under side of this car looked like it truly had 60,000 and not 179,000. And yes dump but bought it.
The car has alot of broken things inside pissed me off but that's not it. Obviously that dealer rest the check egn. Light and sure enough it came on. Took it to the best Audi Porsche garage in CT. not the dealer a really reliable darn good mechanic. The right cat has to be replaced so OUT COMES THE ENGINE. $3000 for one cat. So order 2. Left and right. It will be out do one do bought is my moto. There goes $6000. Got a eng. with 65k for 1700. The original in car 179k and the timing belt was flapping. Thank God it did not skip. Bought the 65k eng. It was cheaper the doing chains and belt.
Yes I am sure this is going to cost all in around $9000 to $10000 bought the car for $9000. I just hope it all is worth it.
