2006 A8 4.2 with 59,100 miles. I bumper to bumper coverage for an additional 80,000 miles for 5 years, $0 deductible. Covers all buttons motors etc. Sounds very comprehensive, use only new parts, can use Audi dealer. Free towing and rental car. For a grand total of....$913 a year for 5 years.

Only had to pay $300 today and interest free financing for 24 months. And a nice feature it is transferable and you can cancel at anytime and it is prorated.

Think its a good deal but let me know if its not.

Hard to say without knowing more details:


1. Who is the warranty company and the administrator, and what is the name of the plan?

2. Is the plan you got exclusionary, or named component (inclusionary)? Did you see a contract before signing up?

3. I am concerned that you may have been told one thing on the phone by a sales rep, but the contract may not reflect exactly what you were told. For example, every contract in the extended warranty industry reserves the right to use LKLQ parts (like kind like quality). But you said that your plan can only use new parts. Does the contract actually say that? Or is that what you were told on the phone?

3. $4565 for a 5 year plan ($913 x 5) is a little pricey, and it's VERY pricey if the plan is not exclusionary. The $300 down / 24 month interest-free is nice, but if the plan is $1000 more than someone else's equivalent plan, it's not saving you anything.

I hope it's 100% what you describe, but I have seen this sort of thing before from Continental and others. Let us know!
