Default Got my Euro Bumper Strips...some questions

Hey gang,
I got my bumper strips in the mail today from a friend that ordered them for me. I have some questions:

1) Does anyone know how the existing strips come apart? Does it require removing the bumper?

2) Are there any changes that need to be made to the ECU to make sure that I don't get any idiot lights for removing the ambers? (VAG COM or Dealer)

Obviously, I have time to think about it, I've got to paint them first, but just wondering what folks had done in the past.

Thanks,
Scott

Default You don't have to remove the bumper but...

It makes it a lot easier if you do. The PDC sensors are a major pain in the *** and can easily break. I would suggest removing the bumper. No worries about the lights as they are single LED's that jump off the city lights. You won't have a bulb out warning.

Default Thanks, just the kind of advice I was wanting to hear

Not that I'm in a hurry to remove the bumper, but it's better than breaking things trying to get them off. I guess I'll paint the license plate cover while I'm at it (it's got a nasty scratch in it).

I'll run by the dealer and see if I can get the schematics that show how the bumper comes apart. I know they do it quite a bit on Audi's for service work (or so it seems!).

Thanks,
