i did the passenger side first. No problem getting to the bulbs. I did the DRl and parking light (2007 a8l). I got at the light out message. Messed around ant was getting the message for the DRL and the parking light. I now have to get load equalizers. the lights look so awesome that I will have to put the load equalizers on and hope they work. Don't like the idea of cutting my wires to install 4 of these things.

So was the light out display because of the parking lights or because of your DRL installation?

I was getting the light out display for both the DLR and the parking lights. I don't know if I want to add load equalizers. It seems like a real pain and will have to splice wires to install not to mention if all the extra hardware will fit back in the light compartment.

Now im split down the middle on ordering these to replace my parking lights. One person saying absolutely no errors and one saying errors. Anyone else have any experience with these?

Default I am returning all four bulbs

I have decided to return all 4 bulbs. 2 parking light and 2 DRL's. I got the light out warning from both the parking light bulbs by themselves and the DRL by themselves. They suggested I get load equalizers but did not tell me which ones even after i asked them several times. Also their is a disclaimer that the load equalizers heat us so them should not be mounted near plastic. I would have no idea where to put them because the light housing needs to be sealed from the back. Just not worth all the hastle. I wish their canbus lights did what they say but they did not in my O7.

I just thought of something.....Does anyone know if the dead bulb feature can be deactivated via the vagcom? That might be an option.

Bump
Can the light out be disabled via vag-com?
Not sure, if you could though then you could install some crazy lights in your car and I'm sure people already thought of just disabling via vag com then buying cheaper led's and not worrying about it throwing codes. I miss my 07 accord with no light out warnings!
