Default Headlight marker bulb blown. Does anyone know the bulb number?

One of my headlight marker bulbs blew this past weekend and I'm looking to replace it. I have an '04. Anyone know the bulb number? Also, it appears as though access is somewhat limited at the rear of the headlight assembly. The access panel seems to be blocked by the air box on the right side and a fluid reservoir on the left. It seems as though these need to be removed to gain proper access.

From what I have observed, you would have to have hands the size of a chimpanzee's, matching dexterity and sufficient strength to change that bulb? That must be it! I will buy a chimp and train it! Folks I am sorry to have bothered you... I think I solved my own problem.

On a more serious note... any help you can afford would be greatly appreciated.

...and Happy New Year to all!

maybe they could visit the monkey cages instead. Oh, my mistake, they (the two guys) have small brains not small hands. Sorry, my bad!

Default Moral of this story...don't ride around with headlights on during daylight hours, even if it's

safer and then trade these babies in before the marker bulbs blow-out!! Just kidding! But not laughing either!

Default As the senior tech at my dealer has repeatedly said, there are NO easy repairs on a D3. I guess...

...this proves it.

Default 2nd Moral: Replace in pairs! The replacement will be much brighter than the one remaining.

Brought to you as a public service from someone who's already got that T-shirt.

Default Yep, I've checked the Bentley manual procedure out myself in anticipation

of what the procedure entails. IIRC, the procedure was different on road side vs. curbside for one of the sets of bulbs.

The service manual (CDRom) is mandatory if you do any work on these cars yourself. Even changing the oil. First car I ever owned where I could not find the oil filter!

Wait until the next oil change before replacing that burnt out bulb!
