Hot as hell in Dallas + A/C Problem = Not Good
Hi Guys,
I have an A/C issue with my 2005 D3. TSB (2013833/5) addresses the issue problem.
Before I drop several hundred $$ on a pump valve unit, has anyone tried to clean the valve to resolve this issue?
The TSB states to clean the engine blocks to correct the issues (one option). I'm wondering if there is just
debris in the valve that needs to be cleaned out.
Also does anyone know the location of the 'engine blocks' are they refer to?

Symptom:
Same temperature settings on both side (Lo), different temperature air comes from the vents on the drivers side and passenger side. Drivers side vents release warm air and the passenger side vents release cool air (not cold).
I replaced the outside air temperature sensor G17 behind the front bumper cover, however the issue still persists.
Car could be slightly low on coolant, however that is not the issue.

do you mean coolant or refrigerant? You're correct, slightly low on coolant wouldn't do that. On the D2's slightly low refrigerant would cause some vents to blow hot while other stayed cold.

Similar AC issue
I live in SC where's it's starting to get hot. Over the past few weeks I've noticed that the AC will blow cold for about 5-10 minutes and then turns warm to hot. I have to turn it off and roll down the windows. It happened again on the way home, but this time the engine overheat warning came on as well. Is this a temp sensor issue? About 2 years ago I had the radiator replaced because of a tiny hole.

No, that sounds like your engine is overheating? Is the gauge showing hot? I believe the car will shut down the A/C if the car is running hot so I don't think that part is an issue.
