Background: recently I put in a new headlight control module in the 2006 A8L and I followed VCDS instructions afterwards to adapt that new module. The car had sat with a flat-dead battery for several days prior to that repair, so many codes needed to be cleared after I charged it up. But now, all of the sudden, the MMI doesn't show many of the things it used to. For instance I can't raise or lower the car (that menu is gone), the seat heater setting doesn't show on the screen, etc.
Thanks in advance!

You need to reset the Control Head Adaptation channels using VCDS. Look at the Labels folder in the VCDS folders and find file 4E0-910-7xx-07.LBL. Use Notepad or a text editor to print it. Look at the Adaptations section and set the values according to which facilities you have installed in your car. Do this by using VCDS to connect to the Control Head and to change the various channels.
