Default I need a ballpark price on an 08 A8 w/ 7k miles on it...

I'm looking at an A8 at Audi of Manhattan, it's CPO'd w/ 7800 miles on it and it looks to be pretty well loaded (I'm waiting for an email w/ the window sticker)from what I can see. It's white / Amaretto and they're asking $66.9k for it.

what do you guys think would be a good price for it? I was thinking $62-63k??

Thanks for your help!

Default sounds high to me too...

the more I look at it I think it's rather light on the options... no ventilated seats/heated rear seats/base wheels/etc...

it's a short wheel base so the msrp was probably what, around $75k if it was very lightly optioned? If that's the case I would say $60-62k for it.

I'll wait and see what he comes back with for an option list.

Default Just checked out Carsdirect.com

Building a base 08 SWB A8, list price is $71,465, invoice price is $66,751, and selling price is $64,465. That is for a brand new car, none of this 7K mile stuff. Add the options and that can go up quickly, but it doesn't sound as though the model you are looking at has much at all. I have used carsdirect.com as a good starting ground to negotiate down from there with the dealers. On CPO that's harder, but you are looking at a virtually new car. Good luck.

Default just got an email back from the dealer...

Order Configuration

Model Year: 2008
Model: 4E25FL A8 SEDAN 4-DR AUTO QUATTRO
Exterior Color: T9T9 IBIS WHITE
Interior Color: LR AMARETTO
Options: 6W3 FRONT LICENSE PLATE HOLDER
DSL CORPORATE
PPD PREMIUM PACKAGE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Estimated Total MSRP $74,740

Commnum VIN
220439 WAULV94E68N010942

so, the car only has the Premium pkg. does the corporate under options mean that it was destined as a demo? with a $74k sticker I'd say that $62k or less would be a decent deal w/ the CPO warranty. They're asking $66.9k.

Default The MSRP (incl. Destination) is correct at $74,740. The Invoice is $69,561, so...

...they're discounting the car $2,661 (which includes CPO which has an associated dollar value---$2,500?).

They should be going lower IMO; since it's been registered and pre-owned, they can't play the dealer demo=new car game. Just my 2 cents.

Default That's a getting hosed price. Considering if you can find an 08 at a dealer...

You could get close to $15k off. I'd say $60k or less is fair. Also Corporate means nothing.

Default after looking into it all afternoon I came to the same conclusion...

I love the color combo but for anything over $60k I expect more options. The CPO is nice but realistically the car won't be around for 4 years, let alone 6.

I think I'll just have to look a little harder and I'm sure something will pop up.

jAMIEO

I have an 07 A8 with 6500 miles that I am interested in selling. Equipment is Phantom Black Pearl with Amaretto, Premium Package, Sport Package with 20" 7 double spoke wheels, Alcantra Package, Leather package and Sirius. Car is immaculate, covered and garaged. Purchased as business vehicle but my business has me out of state and the car is just used on nice weekends. Car fully warranteed and basically new. Price is $64K if interested or if anybody else may be interested.
