Kuhmo Vs Continental DSW06
There is no comparison. It is like trying to compare a Geo Metro to an A8. To be blunt, Kuhmo tires suck green wind. They may seem fine but they are noisy, poor handling tires. I got tired of the feeling that I had a bad wheel bearing so I put on some Continental 255/40-19 DSW06 tires. That single change transformed the 2008 D3. Noise and vibration is gone, and the car tracks like the TGV. Ride is better too. If you have Kuhmo tires and feel like the wheel bearings are gone, scrap them and put Continental DSW06 tires on.

I've had great luck with the DWS tires including the newer DWS06's. I have them on all 3 of my cars, never a complaint and as advertised good on the snow. Here in CO we do get snow and have never felt a need for a set of dedicated snows using these tires. Like you said quiet, good handling and I've gotten considerable mileage out of them too.

I completely agree that Continentals in any model is vastly superior than Khomo tires. I myself tried a set of Khumos on my D2 because they were less than half price of the Goodyear or Michelins I was running at the time. I took them off at 8K miles because they sucked so bad. That being said it is slightly unfair to compare a TIER 1 Continental to a tier 2/3 Khumo.
