Light Bar Fix!
I'm having a hard time finding this Part in the Bentley Service Manual! It is the Light Blue LED Light Strip that Illuminates each door during Night Driving when selected in MMI Highway or City Mode. I can not remember which mode activates them, but I noticed the Rear Passenger (Driver's Side) is out. I'm assuming that it is a Strip since it is Lit the Length of the Doors. As much as I've had these doors off doing Sound Deadning and Speaker Upgrades, I am yet to figure out where it is located and how to remove and replace. A part number would be helpful if possible. I have a couple of questions...I LOVE the way the Bose system sounds, but if it can be made even better I'll do the mod. In what way did you find the Bose lacking, what did you change, and did that produce the desired result? Also, what sorts of things have you done to improve sound deadning and in what locations? Thanks for any info.

You must have the feature disabled with an MMI setting or you never drive the car when it's dark outside becaus you would know what is being discussed. The door panel (near the top of the (usually Alcantera area) lights with white LED's that project a downward glow.

Interior Lighting Options
If you look in MMI in Car Mode and select Settings (Soft Key) under Interior Lighting you will find it. If you have it set to Off then you will not notice this Feature. Select Highway and Turn the Dial Up. At Night you'll notice a Soft Moon Lit Cabin and you can Adjust Brightness. You won't feel like you're driving in Total Darkness. I have the Dash and MMI Screen set to Dim or I'll drive with the MMI Screen Retracted using Dash Low Lighting. It's a pretty Cool Effect when you're Night Driving like I do. The Better Half Loves to Ride at Night it sets her in a good mood!

Thanks williebone! Now I see exactly what you're talking about. How cool is that?! That's one of those Audi touches that puts this car over the top!
And, no, Mister Bally, I have never driven the car in the dark. I purchased it last Spring. My commute, for as long as I have owned the car, has been during daylight hours.
In about a week's time, though, I will be driving in the dark, as the season turns. I'm looking forward to it because I love the instrumentation lighting. And now the mood lighting on the door! Thanks!
