Western Europe sales by model are complied using sales from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom (JATO Dynamics).

S-Class: 1125/1186
A8: 918/867
7-Series: 778/850
XJ: 382/556 (oh boy!)
Phaeton: 366/207 (Holy Cow! it is getting close to kick XJ's *** )
LS430: 68/109 (Not exactly a European favourite eh)

Default So true, Lexus means nothing here!

I believe Belgians buy -relatively speaking- the most luxury cars in the world. But there are very few Lexus cars here indeed. Even though that might change a little in years to come.

I don't see too many Phaetons either. Lots of S class and the A8 does seem to be getting more popular.

Pretending to be a real luxury brand by changing the name is just silly.

Real cars are only built in countries that have at some time had soldiers in Poland.

Default Actually, I'm not sure it is a valid comparison with MB since

the S class includes many models. It would be a better comparison of A8 vs. S430/S500. The A8 may well be outselling its competitor vehicles from MB as well as BMW 7 series.

Well, I'd think the 3.0, 3.7 and 3.0TDI should be comparable to 320, 320CDI and 400...
