MMI Not Working

Sat down with the service mgr this AM. Showed him the video and pictures of the water coming out of the HVAC drains. He was sorry and seemed somewhat concerned. I used a dent wizard guy that they use and he removed a dent for $75 -- the dealer took care of that and said he take care of something else in the future like an Oil Change. Not exactly what I was looking for. I mentioned I was not sure of the rear sunroof drains had been taken care of or the Cowl drains. They had the car there for the day - but as far as I know they did not double check to make sure the work was done. Not sure I would even 100% trust them if they said they double checked it. The next closest Audi Dealer is a little over an hour away - so chances are I will deal with them again at some point. Lesson Learned. From her on out I am going to be more patient and try to exhaust every avenue with the forum before I take it to the dealer. I have a bunch of other small things to fix that I need help with so I'll have a few new posts that I could use some help with. Thanks For everything t all that helped on this thread - I really appreciate it.

Concerned? You bet he is. He doesn't want AofA to get involved. That causes all manner of grief for the service mgr.

Audi Of America
I filled out the survey and Audi of America called me. I told them what had happened. They said they will call the service manager I dealt with and review the matter with them. I told them a fair resolution would be a $500 credit toward future services. If/When I hear from the service mgr I will advise.

For the MMI not working, had the same problem 2 years ago. in the end , and it happens often , its the BOSE amplifier that goes bad. its located in the left side of the trunk. once i replace it ( 200$ from eBay), the MMI started working. a good place to do homework is at YouTube.
good luck

The passenger side sunroof drain was clogged on 2004 Audi A8L. Trimmer line did not work. Removed the tire and pulled back the fender well lining. The windshield washer tank is in the way. Removed 2 nuts and one bolt which allowed the tank to pull out a few inches. At the very top of the tank is the drain with the stupid slit that was glued shut. Had to take a tire plug rasp to force it open and grind it so it wasn't sealed anymore. Really stupid design and no one says where the drain comes out. Really hard to find.
