Default MMI update where to get the cd's

ok so I'm a bit confused about updating the MMI, I would really like to get rid of that lawyer start up screen but am not really sure where to start, I have looked through lots of posts but still am confused.

where do you get the disk's from? I called 2 dealers here and they both have no idea what I'm talking about.

I know I have seen lots of posts saying there cheap but I have no idea where to get them.
also can I just update to the newest version or do I need to do it step by step?
I am running version 1190 so I'm assuming I could use an update.

Default Dealer...

Just find Audi part #'s in prior posts and order at parts counter using that #, or online at ECS Tuning or a few other places that sell or can order Audi OEM parts

Definitely have the Audi parts counter find the CDs using the part #, otherwise they may have problems looking it up using a name/description (I believe the CDs are listed in the accessories catalog, not the parts catalog).

3360 is part #4F0-906-961-AB
4610 is part #4F0-998-961

Have you checked with the dealers to see how much they would charge to upgrade your MMI? It's nice to have them assume the liability in the event something goes wrong. There was a dealer here in Michigan that was doing it for a very reasonable price.

ok great, you wouldn't happen to have the numbers on hand would you?
also do you know if I need to update the mmi in a few steps or can I just go straight to the most recent update?

Eject all the CDs from the changer, unplug your iPod (if you had one), and don't have your BT phone paired.
