Default Multi Media Upgrade

Thought some may be interested in a mod I had done this week. Bought an adapter so that the monitor is now able to view dvd's, tv, ipod video and/or rear camera (auto-sensing). IMPORTANT: I only use this when the car is parked, I enjoy to get away from the office at lunch and relax and catch up on podcasts, etc... System works absolutely great, very clear picture and all the audio goes thru FM modulators. Intergration is flawless.Regards,
Don

Default question (and pics posted)

what did you input the video into the nav screen?
So you can put in a dvd and have the audio play also? How is the FM modulation?

Default Re: question (and pics posted)

Thanks for the help with the pics. I got the unit from http://www.avelectronic.com/
Actually kind of neat the way it works, no matter what screen you are in (nav, radio, etc...) you can just toggle between that and whichever input you want. I actually have three FM modulators, one each for the Ipod, dvd and Sirius sat. I asked that when they did the install they add seperate toggle switches that feed power to each device so there is no cross reception, works very well. Yes, with this set up you can listen to multiple audio sources, only one would play back thru the speakers though. The rest would be via earphones, which is not bad on long drives with multiple passengers. Not to get too confusing but the dvd player I got can accept two inputs itself, so there is a potential increase of devices.

Thanks. Actually I do not connect any video sources when I drive, too dangerous. Nice to have available though when waiting or at lunch time.
