Default Need to replace my 19" 12 Spoke Fan Blades... with 20" Fan Blades?

One of the rims is completely bent from New York potholes, so I'm just going to replace the whole set as I need new tires anyway. Doesn't make sense?

Well, that's because I'm curious if anyone has bought the 20" version that Lakeshore sells? I love these wheels so much that they were a huge factor in my buying an A8, so I'm not the least bit interested in any other wheel.

I just need to know if I can get away with 20's or if I should stick with 19's. Anyone done this and have some pics? I'm curious if the extra inch is even that noticeable on a car this big.

Here's a link to what I'm talking about...

I also live in New York, and had very much wanted to get the 19" 12 Spoke Turbines you speak about. When I bought my used 2005 least year however, I found out that it came with the optional 18" 9 spoke wheel. Initially I really did not like them very much as I had my heart set on those lovely 19"s. HOWEVER, after speaking with many other local owners, almost everyone I asked who had the 19"s had something bad to say about the ride/blowouts. One fellow, when replying to my question about having any problems said that everything was just fine except for those two right-side tires he blew out after coming around a sharp turn in Central Park and bam, bam quick as you please.

The two senior people of the company I used to work for both drove 700 Series BMW's for years and switched to Audi a) because of traction in the winter and b) they had between, the two of them, blown 7 tires and rims on New York roads. Neither one is a car guy so they did no research. They were both using Plus 2 inch wheels over standard. There is a reason those larger size wheels and tire packages, from ALL the top German makers come with a warning. It would appear that +1 inch on wheel size is just fine in New York, but +2 inches is really pushing it.

Ive Replaced my 20'' Run Flats which were a pain in the A** maintain i managed blow 2 tyres in less than a 2 week space :| and it cost me a total of £1000 to replace 2 tyres >:-@
Ive Put 20'' 12 Spoke on my A8 and they work as a charm over here in England where roads arent the best place to be drving with 20's, ive only found a little amount of road noise increased inside but apart from that Comfort,Handling and performance is not affected that much + the 20'' 12 Spoke make the car sit right in a way where as with the 19'' it didnt work as well...

I live in LI and drive into the city M-F for over 2 years, 1 replacement on 19" turbines, ride is compliant, no noise and comfy. Use Yoko Advan s.4 A/S.

OK... you're EXACTLY who I'm looking for then. Do you have any pictures of your car with the 20" version of the 12 spokes? I've always felt the 19" were almost perfect but they're still a touch too small. I'm thinking these 20" may be just what I feel is missing. I'm dying to see some pics...

20's will bend quicker with the narrower tire sidewall. And 19's look better anyway.

Not had a 20 bend yet and as for 19's looking better - a matter of opinion!

2nd that..... actually the optional size of 275/35/20 gives you more sidewall.
