New happy owner but one question...
Sold my TTQC and just collected my A8 NWB yesterday. Beautiful car indeed. Can anyone here shed a light on should the MMI display the CD tracks when its playing? Mine's not and I'm not sure if it's working correctly as I noticed some pics posted here with tracks displayed. Thanks in advance..

I've found that it doesn't for most cd's
Although I do have a couple where it does. Supposedly f you burn a cd with the track info on, it should show up. But I haven't found a program that has successfully done this.
You can name the cd's through the MMI. Having satellite radio has reduced how much I listen to my cd's.

I got so annoyed with how few CDs come with CD-Text that I ripped all mine
to MP3 at highest-quality variable bitrate using Easy CD DA Extractor, which looks up the track names from CDDB, then I burnt them back to CD with Nero 6 and using CD text from the MP3 ID3 tags that Easy CD put on.
Long-winded, but it works. I also used Easy CD's format converter to re-encode the same files into a different directory tree at a lower bitrate so I could drop them onto an SD card for the wife's allroad (yes, my sig pic is badly out of date).
So, I ended up with all my music on the PC, where some day I'll get a dedicated media server and use wireless player units to play it anywhere in the house, I have 12 CDs at a time ion the A8 with CD track display and I can drag/drop music onto SD for the allroad.

I only play cd's in tunnels now. Otherwise it's XM satellie radio for me.
About 75% of my cd's show the track names on the MMI display.
All of the XM stations have the information on the screen which is great.

Thanks for the advise Plano/Benzman/ChrisB/M.Bally. Sounds like a painful process to go thru... and IPOD connectivity is still not supported.. sigh.
