Phone problem solved
Posted last week about onstar phone going "klunk" when i gave it a number. Finally got a tech at onstar that knew something. Apparently I had somehow turned off the feature called "voice feedback".
All I had to do was hit the white dial button and when she said "ready", I said, voice feedback. She said "voice feedback, on".
End of mystery.
