PS Pressure Leak
Lost all power steering a couple days ago, thankfully I was only a few blocks from my home. Just diagnosed it today and there is a leak in the pressure line (inside the wheel well under the steering rack). It's on ramps right now so I haven't taken the driver's wheel off to remove the back portion of the fender liner to get a better look at it.
Does anyone know where to find an aftermarket line for this? It's an '06 BGK, and the part number is 4E1422893M
From what I can tell, my only option is OEM, but rockauto has just the hose (no hard lines), not sure how well that would hold after swapping.
Rockauto also has and interesting version with an additional hard line in the center made by EDELMANNwhich is out of stock so I can't see the price.
Is my only option to bite the bullet for the $350 OEM line?

Used not sure if I'm willing to gamble with used. I was hoping there was something I had missed in my quick part search.

Follow the procedure in the service manual to R & R the hose & fittings. Use new OEM banjo bolts and seals. Don't waste time and money on unknown components. I'd buy the new OEM hose but my '04 has 295,000 miles and I plan to keep it awhile longer. My only alternate would be a used one from a reputable auto recycler like Shokan Coachworks.

I noticed the screw that holds the bottom bracket for the coolant reservoir also holds the heat shield between the hose and the engine. Unfortunately that screw is stripped so that was out of the cards. I ended up cutting the hose and removing the two ends separately. If I can undo that screw will there be enough room for install?

If anyone has access to the procedure for removal of the pressure line, could you possible pm it to me? I'm going to pull a line tomorrow at the yard and I'm not quite sure how to remove without cutting it.

Pulled the line after tearing about the heat shield at the yard, I have no clue how this line is to go in with that heat shield there. Do I need to move the ABS module in order to move the lines out of the way to unscrew the heat shield?
Purchased Elsawin last night but I'm having one hell of a time trying to install it.
