Question for W12 drivers...
Never seen this before and its not written in anything I have. After 5 minutes of inactivity, the MMI screen has what my tech swears is a screensaver. The time display pops up and overlays the current menu. Anyone else notice this? Seems strange to me as the time is already show at the bottom.

Never heard of it, and it would annoy the heck out of me
I like to idle on the nav map screen or the tyre pressure monitor (actually, I wish TPM was linked on the 'spare' top-left MMI button in car screen). If the time kept popping up over the top of everything, that would bug me immensely.
Talking of things Audi should change, I'd love the Systems menu under Car to have a 'status' screen showing oil temp, pressure etc, and be able to also pull a smaller version (perhaps just oil temp) into DIS like the RS 4. The system will have access to the data, it's just a case of needing some code to pull it and display it.

Re: Question for W12 drivers...
No screen saver on ours.
If screen does its failure to communicate thing, you'll get MMI audi wallpaper, but never seen in normal driving.
Congrats on W12. Love ours. Now about 9-10 here, I think. Not counting our departed tranny dissing brethren ;^)

Thanks for the responses...didn't think it was normal...
I set the clock to 24h time and it no longer pops up. The car was missing the books so I couldn't go back to anything and verify. On another note I think I have a good guess as to the hard downshift that was the cause of commotion. For those of you with tip paddles, if you are in manual mode and forget to downshift (or accidentally hit a paddle on the wheel) the car will jerk down into first when coming to a stop.

Ours has never been out of 24h mode
I will mess with it soon, my wife let me drive it last few days.
Books as you know are huge. Hope you get them.
I use manual and Sport modes a lot, and the downshift really isn't too bad, depends on how fast you stop.
I'll let you know if I get mine to do the screen saver deal.
What does it look like? Audi logo MMI deal?
