I made some edits and added a video showing dash panel removal in case you did not know how, I also saw a picture where someone jumped the two large blade terminal sockets for the relay in question with say a 10-12 gauge wire and spade ends, So when you pull the relay be sure to observe the relay orientation and test both of the large blade sockets for power, one should have power by turning the key to the on position, that is the supply power we want to be sure we have, so when the relay is working it can send the power on it's course for terminal 15.
Gook Luck !

When I bought the car the battery was just floating around in there. I had to tie it down with a bungi cord. The hold down is missing.
Big darn battery.
I will tear into the relay area this afternoon.

Not sure if you have tried this yet but I had some wierd electrical gremlins right after I bought my D3. Installed a new battery and still there. I unhooked the battery overnight and charged it. After hooking it back up no more issues. Worth a try.

Good Morning AudiWorld! So, after disconnecting my battery last night and placing it on the charger/maintainer until this morning- I reinstalled the battery.
Now I can not switch the ignition on at all, when I open the door, I get the clock/calander/ odometer and interior lights. I can listen to the radio, but the car does not "switch on" with the key or by push button. I suppose there is some type of re-initiation that I do not know about. Suggestions?
Okay, after sitting here a few minutes and typing to you guys, the ingition switched on after I tried the push button.
But, I still get the same series of errors. I am going to tear into the dash this morning and clear DTC's again.

Here is my panel, the horn relay is different than the one you posted, but I am not testing that one anyway. I am going after the one to the right of that, labeled 645- the upper one. Will test the terminals and be back

Okay, put my shoddy old multimeter across the receptacle ends of where relay terminals 1 & 2 would be and got voltage signal when the car was switched on.
When pulling out the relay, the first thing I noticed was how loose it was. I had a spare new 40 amp relay sitting on my work bench, so I replaced it as a matter of precaution anyway.
Here's a completely off topic project I'm also working on.

OMG!
It's alive!
I'm not declaring it cured yet, but I was able to clear those DTC's that were persistent! Still showing trac control light on the dash, however, rescanning in a few to try to clear that one.
