I don't often do recommendations but this could really help some people out - there is a company called VAGcoding expert who are absolute experts certainly when it comes to Audi. My gearbox mechatronics died (electrically dead) and it took me a while to find a replacement. When I installed the used replacement it locked itself (component protection) and I still could not drive the car. I a pretty good with Audi and have VCDS and Abrites but I don't have an online subscription for Abrites as it just wouldn't pay me back. I got the point of scrapping the car and saw VAGcoding expert on Ebay. To cut a long story short they shipped me an interface, arranged a remote session via my laptop and fixed the issue in about 15 minutes - I am sure that most delaers will not try to tackle this job....they even removed component protection from another module I hadn't even spotted! Every aspect fansatic, in all it cost me about £125.

I had to have mine towed to an Indy shop, but still less expensive this doing this online. We are fortunate to have a really good Audi indy here in Albuquerque.
