Back to C6 S6 vs. D3 S8, it really is probably a personal choice thing. Having owned a C5 though, honestly I thought the C6 showed various signs of cheapening over the C5

D4 S8 has the same bottom end as the C7 RS 7, main difference being more efficient turbos in the latter, both use the ZF 8 speed.

However, the D4 S8 may make back some of that due to the dual intake.

To me the C6 S6 isn't as attractive visually as the D3 S8, including the gauges that take the curve of the dash, oddly angled away slightly on one side relative to the driver.
