...is that I was going to have a chat with the driver, but he gets out of the car to open the rear door for this little, shall we say, older woman. I suspected she probably wasn't up for a chat about her wonderful W12 ;-)

I'll probably still order a Black A8L, but darn, that red was very striking, without being overpowering the way some reds can get.

I haven't seen one in red either. An amaretto interior would be sharp..

Where was the car seen because Garnet Red begins production on the 2006 A8s on May 30th?

Saw it on 48th Street and 1st Avenue in NYC. However, don't know if it was an '05 or '06.
